Hi again guys,

I've started a Yahoo group for the club, hopefully this will be better for sending out information to everyone in a uniform manner. So feel free to sign up, your inbox won't be flooded with anything, just the meeting info e-mail and then a confirmation e-mail, once a month or once every other month.

Jan/Feb meeting

i think we'll do one meeting for jan/feb this time around... i don't know about all you guys but i've got a full platter of things going on lately.

so let's do about 2 weeks of lead time, which would send us to early/mid February... the weekend of the 11th/12th work for everyone? let me know.

also thinking of setting up a better way to relay info, as a once-a-month blog update doesn't seem to be doing the trick here. anyone have any suggestions? you know the email: trianglepriusclub AT yahoo DOT com.

December meeting

So our fellow PriusChatter, Hobbit, says he will be in town on the **29th**, which is a Thursday. I know I have to work that day, but how about a dinner at say 7:00 that night at Chilis at 15/501 and Garrett?

Please, if you plan on coming, PLEASE let me know, via the club's email (which I am now back to checking regularly, sorry 'bout any delays) trianglepriusclub AT yahoo DOT com or by leaving a comment at the end of this post. I would like to reserve a table and make sure that we have enough seating.

Looking forward to having another meeting- hope you're all keeping your gas mileage up in these less-than-ideal temperatures.

November Meeting

Okay folks...

Since I haven't heard much from others and have no idea how many people actually know about this month's meeting, we'll just say to meet for lunch on Saturday at 1pm (that is, if you have any room left from Thanksgiving dinner Thursday!) somewhere quick and not too expensive- how about Subway out on Hillsborough road in Durham? It's right off the 15-501 exit to those of you who aren't familiar, across the street from the Dodge dealership, I think it's called Morgan.

Anyway, hope word gets out in time and hope to see some friendly faces and maybe a newbie or 2 on Saturday! :)

November meeting planning

Sorry it's been so long folks! It's time for another meeting- maybe we'll even catch some of the last of the gorgeous fall scenery while we're at it!

I was thinking sometime at the end of November- maybe the weekend after Thanksgiving? That would be Sat the 26th or Sun the 27th. Let's hear some input- are you going to be in town? Which day works best for you? Suggested meeting places?

We're now the Triangle Hybrid Club!

Thanks to a little PR activity, we seem to have more interest than just Prius cars... so I have gone and changed the name of our club to the Triangle Hybrid Club.

I also have a fun new logo but I have yet to get it on the website. That'll take a little more time than I have at the moment!

Next meeting should be sometime at the end of September or beginning of October.

Quick Notes

Hi folks!

Our other club co-founder, Bill, will be taking over the meeting organization duties as of our next meeting. I'll still get to the meetings, but organizing them came to be a bit much now that classes are running again...

The August meeting was a nice quiet little get together, and although we saw plenty of Prii driving by we had only 4 of us. But we met someone new and that's always worth it! Thanks for coming out, everyone :)

Look for more on the September meeting later on in the month.

Gas prices will surely bring more hybrids to area roads, so keep on spreading the word- about the car and the club! The words "fifty miles per gallon" get plenty of attention on their own...

August Meeting Confirmation

The next meeting will be August 27 (Saturday) at our usual time, 3PM. The location this time is Mad Hatter's- 1802 West Main Street, Durham.

August meeting planning...

It's time to think about our next meeting. How does the last weekend of the month sound- say the afternoon of the 27th? That's a Saturday.

Since it was suggested that we meet at a local coffee shop or something, I will keep an eye out for locations. If you have anything in mind, feel free to suggest. Comment below or send an email to trianglepriusclub[at]yahoo[dot]com.

As a side note, I will unfortunately not be able to coordinate any more meetings. Full time thesis work and classes will take up too much of my time. So anyone who's willing to take on the meeting coordinator position, please let me know. I will provide you with resources to do the job.

July Meeting Review

Our July meeting was this afternoon. We had a new record of 5 cars! It's nice to see the club growing! Now if only we could find a time that worked for everyone, we might have 10 or more!

We had quite a few new Prius owners show up today and we were glad to meet them all! So thanks to everyone who came out and joined in the lively discussion today, we hope to see you at future meetings.

I am still looking into prospects for the Triangle Hybrid discussion. I'll see what I can come up with. In the meantime, happy driving :-)

Future meets

Hello all you Prius owners out there...

It looks like our regional hybrid event will have to be postponed until August. I am just way too busy to be able to plan something of that magnitude AND deal with the venue AND deal with all the other pressures at work day to day... at this time.

However the meet for this month is still on, but it will be a regular Prius Club meeting. It has been suggested that we meet on a Saturday. And that the 16th would be a good day. So there it is. Saturday the 16th at the regular time of 3pm. The location at Eno River State Park was quite nice last time, so if there's agreement maybe we should do that again. But bring sunscreen!

June Meeting

Our June meeting went well yesterday, although we did have a small turnout. I didn't realize it was Father's day and that was probably related somehow. On the bright side, we did have some new people show up, and it's always good to meet other Prius owners! Thanks to everyone for coming out to a beautiful day at Eno River!

I am starting to contemplate ideas for our July meeting. For those of you who may be unaware of the plans, we were considering having a regional hybrid meet and discussion to extend our club beyond just the Prius. We have secured a meeting location and possibly a means for advertising this event, but I have not yet set a date.

I think it would be great if we could get everyone who's interested to come by and show off their neat little cars for this event, so I am looking for input as to what would be a good day for the majority of our members. Check your calendars for the end of July, and comment here or send an email to trianglepriusclub@yahoo.com and let me know when is a good time for you! I'll arrange a time when most people seem to be free.
